Controls

The Johnston VT652 has a centre cab mounted master control panel with the latest Johnston Video Monitor (JVM) providing information on a large range of sweeper functions in addition to the capability for data capture download. Up to 4 optional cameras can also be viewed on the JVM monitor screen. This truck also has a separate palm rest controller which houses controls for the main sweeping functions that is mounted on the door side. 

Body, Hopper, and Cowling

The new VT 652's body comprises of its hopper and its integral water tank. For robustness this is fabricated from heavy duty stainless steel plate. This vehicles cowling is lined with frequency matched soundproofing material to reduce sound levels of the earlier VT650 and VT651 sweepers. It onboard large capacity water tank incorporates anti-surge baffles and is filled via a type ‘A’ water hydrant fill. On this truck a twin diaphram pump runs continuously and is also able to run dry. Other features are a water tight twin lock rear door latching system with de-watering function in addition to 2 body side access doors and side storage lockers.
