Manufactured direct by Hyundai this petrol chain saw is aimed at the home user / light trade user.

As you would expect from Hyundai Power Products the HYC 6220 model is manufactured to a very high standard offering a strong cutting performance whether you are using it to cut or prune trees, cut logs up for firewood, or for use in a building or landscaping project.

Unlike other low-cost chainsaws this particular model is fitted with a decent sized chain bar and cutting blade, as standard equipment the Hyundai HYC6220 chain saw is fitted with a 20" bar giving it a really good sized cutting capacity.

Most petrol chainsaws of this low price point usually are fitted with a 10", 12", or 14" bar, with this model having a large 20" bar and chain it allows the user to tackle larger diameter logs and tree sections from the outset.

Keeping the cutting chain / blade in good order

This petrol chain saw is fitted with automatic chain lubrication feature, with this component delivering the right amounts of chain oil to its blade as it is used. Having auto-chain lubrication takes the guess work out of deciding when and how much oil to use to keep the saw blade freely running as well as in a good condition.

This feature also helps maintain the chainbar and chain drive sprocket too.

Increased comfort when used for prolonged periods of time

Another great feature on this inexpensive priced chain saw is its anti-vibration mounting system on its handles.

The handles on the Hyundai HYC6220 petrol chain saw are designed to reduce vibration from the saw to the operator whilst it is being used, increasing the level of comfort as well as assisting with safety.

If you have ever used a chainsaw (petrol or electric) that doesn't have any anti-vibration mounts to its handles and controls you will soon see what a good benefit it is by having them on this model.

Fitted with a safety kick-back device as standard equipment

Although this is a feature that is standard on most chainsaws these days, it is good to note that this Hyundai petrol chain saw has a safety kick-back device.

Otherwise often referred to as a chain brake, this component stops the rotating chain blade virtually instantly in the event of a kick back.

High powered two stroke petrol engine

This individual tool is fitted with a high powered 2-stroke 62cc petrol engine. This runs on a fuel mixture of unleaded petrol (gasoline if you are reading this article in the USA) and 2 stroke oil. 2 stroke chainsaw oil needs to be premixed with unleaded petrol and used in this chain saw.

The 2 stroke oil that is mixed with the fuel serves to lubricate the important parts of the chain saws engine components, namely its piston, piston rings, and the cylinder / barrel. The fuel to oil ratio required for the Hyundai HYC6220 is 40:1

The engine is straight forward and easy to start having a manual choke control as well as the usual fuel primer pump control. Due to it being fitted with a large (hence powerful) 62cc engine it also has a decompression control to help with starting from cold too.

Procedure for starting the engine

The way to start the engine on this low priced petrol chainsaw is relatively straight forward.

With regards to when the tools engine is totally cold the procedure is:-

  • Check that the saw is filled with the correct fuel (unleaded petrol and two stroke oil)
  • Check that the chain oil level is good (chain lubricating oil)
  • Check that the chain is correctly fitted on its bar and tensioned correctly
  • Check that the chain is in good condition, is sharp, and not excessively worn
  • Ensure that any children or pets are kept away from the work area
  • Ensure that you are wearing the correct PPE
  • Turn the ignition control to its on position
  • Push on the front chain brake lever to activate the saws chain brake
  • Pull the choke control fully out
  • Prime the tools carburettor by pressing the primer bulb at least 8 times
  • Press the decompression valve control in
  • With the chainsaw on firm and flat ground, hold the saw safely and firmly down (by placing your right foot through the rear handle, the saw facing away from you, and by firmly grasping the front handle with your left hand) and pull the recoil handle swiftly. It may take several pulls before the tools engine fires-up.
  • Once the engine has started, push the choke control fully in
  • Disengage the chain brake device by pushing the lever in backwards, away from the saws blade
  • Warm the chainsaws engine up by running the speed at half throttle for around 20 seconds
Starting the HYC 6220's engine from hot:-

The above steps need to be taken to start-up the engine on this Hyundai chainsaw when it is already hot, with the exception of the choke control does not need to be used, the primer bulb will not require pressing, and the decompression valve will not need activating.

Stihl MS170 Chainsaw

A Best Selling Entry Level Saw From Stihl - MS170

The Stihl MS170 Chainsaw is a compact sized petrol chainsaw that is really well suited for domestic users.

If you only need a chainsaw for pruning trees and bushes in your own garden as well as tackling some light logging work, its well worth giving the MS170 a close look.

Stihl MS170 Chainsaw

Despite having a small size this particular chain saw is one that can really give out a large punch, no doubt due to its high build quality and powerful two-stroke petrol engine.

Currently in the UK this particular model of Stihl chainsaw is supplied as standard equipment with a 30cm (12") bar and chain. As an accessory though you can also buy a slightly smaller 250cm (10") bar and chain if required.

To jump straight to the overall specification of the Stihl MS170 Chainsaw you will find that this model has:

  • A powerful 30.1cc 2 stroke petrol engine
  • The engine on the MS170 develops 1.6bhp
  • A 12" cutting bar length
  • Features a safety chain brake
  • Has automatic oil lubrication
  • Has a low weight of just 4.2kg

What makes this a recommended chainsaw for the home user?

There are several factors that make this particular model of chain saw ideal for the home user.

One factor is that when you purchase a Stihl item of forestry or gardening machinery you are obtaining a machine that has been developed and designed to perform exactly as intended.

For the keen home gardener this adds up to the Stihl MS170 Chainsaw being light in weight, manageable in size and balance, being reliable, and above all - offering good cutting performance as and when needed.

Add in useful features such as the machines automatic chain lubrication system and the safety chainbrake device, and you end up with a model of chain saw that surpasses a lot of other brands and model of chainsaws on several counts!

Talking of reliability, one thing that most homeowners fear when it comes to items of powered garden machinery, is how easy (or difficult) is it to start the chainsaws engine?

All too often petrol engined items of garden machinery can become hard to start, especially if they are of a poor build quality or have not been developed by the manufacturer to be easy to start in the first place!

When it comes to this individual model of petrol chainsaw you can rest assured that Stihl have made the MS170 as easy as possible to start-up.

What is the best small petrol chainsaw?

This is a question that a lot of people ask, especially by people that are looking to buy their first small petrol chainsaw.

In reality this question can be looked on in several ways; do you want the best overall small chainsaw regardless of price or cutting capacity? or do yo have a budget in-mind of what you want to pay? What size logs or trees do you need the saw to cut?

Once you have considered these points you will be in a far better position to see which make and model of small petrol chainsaw is right for you.

Need a saw that can cut-up to around a 10" capacity and which has a manageable weight with proven reliability and cutting performance? Our recommendation on the best small petrol chainsaw has to be the high quality and specification Stihl MS170.

Easy Operation Control:

Unlike older models of two-stroke petrol chainsaw, the Stihl MS170 is fitted with their likable "single lever master control".

This is a control which makes the tool easier to control and manage. The start, choke, throttle, and stop controls are all operated with this single lever.

Anti-Vibration Dampers:

Stihl MS170 Anti Vibration System

This saw is fitted with anti-vibration dampers as standard equipment. These dampers reduce the amount of vibration that is transferred through to the operators hands whilst the saw's engine is being used. This feature allows the saw to be used for extended periods of time and prevents fatigue of the hands being experienced in an earlier timescale.

Engine Compensator Device:

Stihl MS170 Fuel Compensator

This is actually a component that is within the carburettor assembly of this petrol chain saw. Its aim is to allow constant performance of the machines engine performance between service intervals. It works by preventing (amending) the fuel to air mixture from becoming "richer" as the air filter on the saw becomes soiled and starts to clog-up.

This compensator device permits the correct amount of fuel to be delivered into the MS 170's engine meaning the engine power is kept steady.

Loop Chain and Chainbar Lubrication:

Stihl MS170 Chainsaw Ematic Chain Lubrication System

This model of Stihl Chainsaw utililises their Ematic Chain Lubrication System. This is an automatic system that carries out the required delivery of a high quality chain oil to the saws chainbar as well as the links on the loop saw blade.

Correct lubrication to the cutting blade as well as the bar is essential to prevent early wear and tear on these two components as well as to aid the cutting performance of the tool.

The Ematic system allows the correct amount of oil to be pumped straight to where it is most needed, doing this as the engine is running and the loop blade is being driven around the saws guide-bar.

About Shotblasting

Shotblasting is a works process where metal and in particular steel components are cleaned by way of undertaking a surface blasting using abrasive materials.

The process can use a wide range of blasting media ranging from crushed walnut shells through to (iron) steel particles, the latter being the most common used for cleaning rust, dirt, old paint, and existing coatings from steel components and structures.

Architectural, engineering, and structural steelwork nearly always specifies that steel "shot" is used for this process, with SA2.5 being the level of surface cleanliness specified as the UK industry standard.

Brightstar Shotblasting and Coatings (serving all areas of South Yorkshire, and in particular Rotherham and Sheffield) mainly carries this out by way of using G24 grade chilled iron blasting media. When carried out this usually results in a surface profile of 50 to 75 microns and is very effective at removing rust, dirt, and ingrained grime from most steel components.

Of course many other media grades and types are available, if you require a particular type or specification of blasting media - please ask us for a no obligation price quotation and information to suit.

SEO in Abbeydale, Sheffield

GIVE YOUR ABBEYDALE BUSINESSES WEBSITE A BOOST

Our range of seo services that we provide is all about helping you get the most from your website, whether you sell a range of products, services, or a combination of both. Particularly in light of the 2020 Covid-19 pandemic, companies that have a strong online presence have recognised just how valuable a good website positioning in Google is, and at ABC SEO SHEFFIELD this is what we focus on.

When we talk about giving your businesses website a boost, we mean giving it a "once-over" to check its basic structure, its content, any images that it features, the technical aspects of the site, and then how looking at how all of this is connected together in how the website reads and flows from page-to-page for its visitors as well as technically for the much needed search engines (Bing, Google, and Yahoo).

Anything that needs changing or amending, once done, usually means your website will have a good boost in its page ranking position, making it more visible to people that are searching online for what you provide.

WHAT DO WE USUALLY FIND IN A WEBSITE REVIEW?

Usually when we carry our a website review we find a number of things that are lacking when compared to competitors sites, and what we feel should be in place for your own website to be successful in generating new sales leads or orders, this could be something that is just as simple as having the companies contact telephone in an easy to find place, the same goes for the address that you list on your website (which if you also list your business in Google Maps this needs to be written in a certain way to maximise its listing position).

Commonly we also find several key factors that are holding the site back from ranking high in Google because of one or more seo issues.

These often include things such as pages in your website loading too slow (which Google will penalise you for), incorrect page titles and descriptions (often these can read good but don't allow your site to rank well), photographs and images not being named (tagged) efficiently, and a massive but regular problem that we come across is simply irrelevant or lack of valuable content in our clients pre-optimised websites.

WHAT WOULD BE GOOD CONTENT FOR MY COMPANIES WEBSITE?

Our knowledgeable Sheffield seo consultancy staff will be only too happy to review, amend, and write (if needed) good additional content to be featured and uploaded to your Abbeydale business website.

The content on your website needs to be good enough to stand out against your competitors, show that it is useful and valuable in the eyes of the major search engines (Bing and Yahoo in particular) and most important of all, match what your potential customers want and are searching for.

A few relevant examples:

Lets say you own or manage a carpet shop in the area of Abbeydale in Sheffield. Some of the content in your website obviously needs to be about carpets and the types and sizes that you sell. Think though about what else you can feature that is relevant for your business, the products (do you only sell carpets or do you sell other floor coverings such as laminate flooring, carpet underlay, door thresh-hold fittings, floor runners, mats and rugs?).

If you do, these should be included as well in the form of content that is easily accessible by visitors browsing your carpet shop website as well as the search engines (who ultimately decide which page and page position your content will sit at in their serps (search engine ranking positions).

We also usually recommend that you have several features within your website about what you do, or is listed as "about us". Here you can feature the services that your carpet shop provides, maybe a free measuring and estimating service, a local carpet fitting service, payment methods that you accept, and information on how long you have been trading, your experience, and so forth.

Another example is if you run a cafe in Abbeydale.

With this example the content would be totally different from the carpet shop example.

Your website content should include above everything else the details on what your cafe provides matched with the fact that it is situated in Abbeydale in Sheffield.

Your website could be used to digitally market on the internet the meals that you serve, maybe the baguettes, paninis, pastries, jacket potatoes, salads, sandwiches, toasted teacakes, hot roast meals, and everything else.... It can also list the cold and hot drinks that you sell whether this is Yorkshire tea, your range of coffee, bottled water, and soft drinks.

Along with this (and depending on how long your cafe business has been established in this location in Sheffield) it could include a strong branding message, where the name of your own cafe is promoted heavily to achieve brand awareness as well as the fact that you run a cafe that is located here.

At the time of writing this article there is a fair number of local cafes as well as other eateries in Abbeydale, so to stand out strong in Google vs them your cafe website needs to have good content, and be ranked as high as possible in Bing and Google of course.

NEED HELP IN GETTING YOUR CAFE WEBSITE FOUND IN GOOGLE?

We'd like to be of service in helping you achieve this.... If you want to talk to us simply give us a call or send us an email.

Content for antique shop in Abbeydale. Another example on what content could be used here is to make sure that your antique shops website has clear information on where it is located in the Sheffield area of Abbeydale. Most antique buyers like to visit and browse such shops unless they are specifically searching for a particular named (branded) item.

Because of this we feel its important to really promote the fact that you are located where you are, even down to listing content on how you can be found (with local driving directions), what other businesses and landmarks are near to you, and maybe a link to a Google My Business listing (otherwise known as GMB or the Google 3 pack) too.

You could have a page detailing on how to find your shop from say Abbeydale Road (the postcode is S7 2BG), Broadfield Road, or Machon Bank.

In addition you could include how to get to your Abbeydale Antique shop from Bramall Lane football ground or the Grosvenor Casino that is located just off Queens Road.

Another thing that can be used to help with the seo of your local antique shops website is to include a picture in the website of your shops front. This should clearly show what your shop looks like from the road or pavement as well as any prominent signage that you have.

The size of the image used is important too, as well as its file size. These are both things that our seo consultants can check and optimise for you if needed.

SEO FOR POWER TOOL SHOPS IN SHEFFIELD

SEO POWER TOOL SHOPS

Power Tool shops that have a website and sell products online can benefit from using the services of a leading seo company

SEO FOR POWER TOOL SHOPS IN SHEFFIELD

Most outlets that sell power tools have a large database of products that they sell including also related accessories, attachments, and items that compliment the use of these tools.

To perform well online versus some of the major UK retailers of tools such as Screwfix and Toolstation, independent power tool shops need to ensure that their own websites are set-up correctly to promote everything that they sell as well as relevant tool brand names, the name of the tool company itself, and also maybe feature some useful content or product reviews on individual tools or items being sold.

This content could be for example a product review of the Dewalt DCD985M2 18v Premium Cordless Hammer Drill Driver, the Dewalt DWS727 Sliding Mitre Saw, the Rotabroach Element 30 Electric Mag Drill, or any other make and model of power tool that you sell.

It could also be content that features the comparison between features and specifications of one model of tool to another. This could be a listing of the features on say a compact sized Bosch GWS7-115 Corded Angle Grinder vs a Netta 115mm branded Angle Grinder.

If your online shop sells electric woodworking tools including routers, some content could be featured on the differences and benefits between well known models of routers such as the Trend T10EK 1/2" variable speed router and the Trend T11EK 1/2" router.

If your Sheffield Power Tool Shop sells outdoor tools (items of gardening and landscaping tools) you can also feature these along with details on applications that they can be used on.

Do you sell petrol chainsaws such as the Hyundai HYC6220 Chainsaw? How about writing and uploading some useful content on the specifications of this model as well as useful tips on how to sharpen and maintain its cutting blade?
