This is a machine that is also referred to as a "tiller". Smaller in physical size to the heavy duty rotavator this machine is more suited to most residential gardens and smaller sized allotments.

Powered by a four stroke petrol engine (that runs on normal unleaded petrol) this item of garden machinery is very easy to use, is manageable in weight and size, and is driven by it's tough metal digging / tine blades. It is these strong blades that turns the soil over (allowing air and moisture to help in cultivation) in readiness for the planting of vegetables, flowers, crops, other plants, the laying of turf.
If the soil in your garden or allotment has been previously cultivated at some point this machine should be totally suitable in turning the soil over for crop or flower growing / landscaping.
New "virgin" soil will probably need the use of one of the heavier duty rotavator machines.
Please Note: before the use of any garden rotavator the area should be cleared of long grass and also any other solid objects that are present such as large rocks and stones. For the cutting-down of long grass we would recommend the use of a petrol brush cutter or garden trimmer machine, these can be hired from Turner Hire (Sheffield) too if required.
