Our mag drills have a powerful electro-magnet built into their base that when energised locks (sticks by magnetic force) the drill onto the work piece. By doing this is allows the operator of the mag drill being hired to apply a consistent pressure / force without the base of the drill rig moving.

The best way to do this is by using a securing chain that attaches the mag drill by a mechanical means and not just relying on its magnetic base. In the event of a power failure this will prevent the tool from just falling down to ground level.
As long as it can be done safely you can use portable mag drills at heights when using mewps such as cherry pickers and scissor lifts, as well as when using access towers, and items such as podium steps.
